I’m tripping on the words and my tongue keeps slipping like I’ve had to much to drink

Standing in the aviary watching all the birds but they’re not helping me think

It’s been awhile since that first kiss

It’s been awhile since we’ve talked like this

But anyway what I wanna say

Is I’ve been a lot of places and I’m gonna go to more but I’m taking you with

The oceans would be dreary and the mountains would be morbid without you to see ’em with

It’s been awhile since we were batshit crazy

Which is probably a good thing cause we have a baby

But anyway what I wanna say

Is time time can’t fix a broken heart

And time can’t heal the loss of a friend

But time can show two lovers who they really are

And every day we have more proof this love will never end

Dancing in the living room and visiting the geese when they come back in the spring

The shine of our time together never wears away even when some of it’s routine

It’s been a while since I last told you

That I love you at least a minute or two

But anyway what I wanna say
