Maze

Written by Seth Billyard.

Standing at the crossroads backpack getting heavy

Used to have a truck but the banker took my little Chevy

Shoulda brought a map but if I reach my destination

They’ll just pick me up and drop me at a new location

Used to get excited when I was standing at the corner sign

Thought I’d meet the devil but he never comes

Used to get excited when I was making really good time

But the finish line is tied on to the sun

Tried to grow a moustache it made me look too much like a rat

Had to shave it off with a piece of broken glass

Learn to be resourceful never wanna fall into a trap

Like monogamy I hear that one’s really bad

Used to get excited when I saw somebody that I know

But they’re always heading down a different road

Used to get excited there’s so many places I could go

But I always end up back home

Running through a maze

Starting to think I’ll be here always

Running through a maze

Legend has it there’s no escape

Heard about a guy that made it outside

Found cupboards full of food grass that got him super high

Came back and told his mama she didn’t believe him

They went out together and they both got eaten

Used to get excited thought I’d have adventures of my own

But I think those stories might be overblown

Used to get excited thought maybe I could be a hero

A white knight would probably punch me in the throat

Running through a maze

Starting to think I’ll be here always

Running through a maze

Legend has it there’s no escape
